    This document provides the responses, from the perspective of Canadian cooperative legislation, to eight out of the nine categories of issues and questions issued by MOA in a document pertaining to legislation for farmer cooperatives. Topics covered include: necessity of legislation for farmer co-operatives, corporate capacity of farmer co-operatives, co-operative membership, financing of co-operatives, favorable balance (profits) distribution of co-operatives, accounting system of co-operatives, relationship between government and farmer co-operatives, national policies supporting farmer co-operative economic organizations.
