Extension Master Training of Trainers (eMToT) Course
The eMToT Course is a 3 day course on curriculum design and is a follow-up course to the MToT training. Once again, the eMToT course is a hands-on, practical training course, including large group lectures and discussions, small group work and discussions and the development of training outline. The participants work towards institutionalization of the MToT extension system (planning, design, delivery and evaluation components) reflecting participatory and adult education principles. This is the application of MToT learning where participants apply adult education skills into the development of a technical training outline.
The goal of the eMToT is to strengthen participants’ capacity to incorporate OIE standards into veterinary public health training that is implemented by various veterinary service institutes in China. The course will provide knowledge and tools to assist trainers to process OIE concepts into training activities to be delivered at the grass roots level. Thus, veterinarians will implement training activities so that animal health workers can provide adequate information (OIE compliant) to their clients and veterinary public health authorities.
