Adjusting the Role of Government and Administration to the Trends of Globalization and Market Integration

The workshop documents have been divided into two parts

• Part I: Agriculture in China
• Part II: Agriculture Outside China

This policy workshop was organized by the Ministry of Agriculture of the People's Republic of China, The World Bank, and the Canadian International Development Agency. Chinese participants were senior policy makers and senior administrators, involved in the discussion and decisions-making process for a reform of the agricultural administration system, including key decision makers from relevant ministries and other public institutions.  International participants included key decision makers and senior level managers in the agricultural administration of their respective countries.

 Documents from the conference, including presentation slides, papers and abstracts, are provided below based on the table of contents from the published Proceedings. The data after the name of the paper indicates the type of file involved (after it has been unzipped and the file size of the zipped download file.)
